In 1985, John was trying to develop concepts that would help people identify what they were born to do and assist them to begin doing it. He set out to identify and teach the key principles that would help people get the resources out of their ground and into their lives. As the concepts came together, John was struck with how the work of personal productivity was related to what a miner went through while looking for gold. Thus, the phrase, Life is a Gold Mine, and Gold Mine Principles were born. As the seminar developed, John focused on five key areas. They are:

purpose
goal setting
time management
organization
faith

Each area took on a mining theme and the Life is a Gold Mine seminar was the result; the book followed a few years later.
The seminar session titles and summaries in the attached PDF document reveal the focus of each of the principles outlined in this website section. Note: to view the PDF file, you will need the Free Acrobat Reader). If you need work in any area, I encourage you to go to that area in this section and do the reading and assignments described. For now, you can look at each Gold Mine Principle.
