Spirit of Purpose

So the Lord said to Moses, "Take Joshua, son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit of leadership, and lay your hand on him (Numbers 27:18).

According to this verse and translation, Joshua had the spirit of leadership. Other versions just say "Spirit." The Spirit of God was present in Joshua's life to make him a leader, and the Spirit is with and in you to help you fulfill your purpose as well. Therefore you have the Spirit of crafts, or the Spirit of acting, or the Spirit of business, or the Spirit of children's ministry in you, and when you do, that will cause you to lead in the area of your spirituality.

Can you identify what expression of the Spirit you have in you? Do you understand that you will operate in divine efficiency and see supernatural results when you flow in that expression of your purpose? Where are you under-living the power of purpose residing in you?

Lord, I know the Spirit resides in me, but I never saw before today that He resides to do something not just in me but through me. I see now that I flow in the power of the Spirit whenever I function in purpose. I have been under-living my potential, but no more. From now on, I will truly operate in the Spirit.
